My MIL took my kiddo for a special breakfast there and both, for the most part, had good things to say. The food was reported back as being "Soo good" by my kiddo and MIL also enjoyed her breakfast. The service was attentive and it wasn't super crowded despite it being peak breakfast time. The only negative was my kiddo asks specifically for strawberries and whip cream for her waffles and when they arrived it was a measly little strawberry and small dollop of whip cream. Not a negative on the taste or quality of the food but a negative for the experience from a kiddos perspective.

Great spot to eat between Easton and Redding! Go on a sunny day, the reservoir is gorgeous and gleaming. Welcome to a " neck " of the woods

Food is excellent country fare. Like you're in a old roadside diner in Vermont. Bustling breakfast and full house here on a Saturday morning with good reason. There's not much else within miles of here; this area of the county (Aspetuck) is stunningly beautiful with stone walls, golf course, parks, preserves, beautiful historic homes full of country nostalgia and the menu is appealing to all diets...conscious or not. But for me, the poached eggs over toasted English muffins, corned beef hash and seasoned home fries with a hot cup of coffee served by a snappy, attentive and efficient waitress made this hour delightful.

I love the cozy feeling you get when walking in the olde blue bird inn. Eating on the screened in porch with flowers in the window sill makes for a charming breakfast. The french toast was light, fluffy, and simply delicious. It was a classic delightful breakfast. I also really enjoyed the corned beef hash and hashbrowns. So much in fact i cleared both dishes by myself! Service was friendly and prompt. I would definitely be coming back here

Good: Mom & Pop spot Friendly staff Nice variety of breakfast options The meh: Service charges for using credit card (without a prior heads up) Tip only in cash The food is just okay - definitely pricey for what you get. Some things were over cooked, some things were under seasoned.

It's really more like 4 stars, but our waitress was lovely. My friend and I got finished hiking in Huntington Park, and we needed some fuel (there's also a gas station here FYI). Something pleasantly unusual about the dining area; the pseudo-garden that hugs it's perimeter. Kinda cool! My peach-cinnamon pancakes were pretty good - they had a real home cooked taste. Coffee isn't amazing but it was fine. There's something very honest about the Bluebird Inn - I'll definitely be returning.
